AGAVE “CROWN”
$6.00
Description
Agave “crown” is one of the most dramatic of the succulents. The mature specimen seen here in the garden is about 4 ft. In height, over 3 ft. Across, and has formed the amazing “crown” top that explains it’s name. ( “pups” do not yet have the vertical trunk, and are much like little crowns. ) the early indigenous peoples made many uses of the leaves, with their thick and fierce end-spines. For example, they dried the leaves and used them as a pre-threaded sewing needle to construct and mend their moccasin-type footwear, and to bind animal skins, and to make repairs as needed to dwellings. We have small pups ranging from 4 to 6″ in diameter, and will ship “bare-root”. Extremely rare and limited. ( sorry, limit of one plant per customer……Even if we love you…..Of course we love you…..But then you knew that. )
