Carnegiea gigantea, better known as the famous “giant saguaro” cactus, appeared so prominently in those “westerns” of the 50’s. ( if you don’t know what a “western” is, please go ask your daddy. ) this cactus reaches it’s full size of some 50 feet in about 150 years.
